Oct 27 Tue - Tallinn to Tartu Estonia

Well the Vabama museum I planned to see today is not open ! Winter hours are Weds to Sun... messed that up, well now I got late check out so decided just stay in and rest / look forward to Riga air bnb's, get a little work out in and a 30 mins walk before train station. Not much to report today and not many photos yet maybe get a few on the train see how the countryside looks between here and Tartu.

And it's pretty awesome so far, didn't expect this it alternates between white birch and evergreen forest all the time, not much else since we have left the water behind. Commuter parking lots we are over 30 minutes out but this is an express train so not stopping at every little town along the way... pretty much both sides of the tracks there's not much else to see... and we are going pretty much too fast for pictures to pick up anything but i'll try to get something when we slow down a bit.

Looking forward to a sauna tomorrow at aura center they have discounted rates between 12 and 3 so i hope that time will work out but if not i'll go sometime for 2-3 hours they have a number of different types of saunas at different temps and one of them the lower temp higher humidity says it's good for joint issues so i will try that for sure.

And the Estonia National Museum is open i'll go there for sure.

Had some trouble finding 10 Kloostri since it was pitch dark when i got here, the directions said turn into the courtyard, well there was nothing visible from the street just black... there was 4 and 6 and a gravel driveway between them and then an abandoned building and another abandoned building which would be 8 and 10 right ? i go into the courtyard of both abandoned buildings and there was a door with glass like the instructions said, oh no... lol lol have i been scammed ? this is not good.... so i text the host and she said "did you not read the instructions"? like that... well yes i did, but... there's no 10 just 4 and 6 and 2 abandoned buildings... well then i walk into the driveway by 6 and motion light comes on and you can see then there are two houses behind there, 8 and 10... whew... so i get in and it was a shabby entrance to 2 rooms but once inside one of those sturdy doors like in italy with all the locks on it... the place was nice. I'm not doing a video tour since i can't upload videos onto blogger. Anyway i am in and alls good, walked over to the COOP about a mile away across the river and got groceries i'll need for 2 days perfectly safe here lots of people out walking around and riding scooters and bikes its a college town and smallish the college is just a few blocks away from the apt. The town square is nice and lit up as is the bridge across the river. Oh just a reminder where we are in the world... looking out the window of train train heres a big ditch and pile of dirt and behind it a camo army tank n 3-4 soldiers...middle of nowhere but ...
